Good
Machining:
A smooth finish is possible with sharp
tools and a 20 degree cutting angle when planing. There are some differences
between the species when processing the wood, depending on the mass density.
When processing the quarter-sawn surfaces, ‘tear-out' may occur if the wood is
cross-grained.
Dekker range:
Various sizes for general carpenting.
General
applications:
White seraya for construction wood and interior panelling, and
other indoor applications. Furthermore used for veneer and plywood board
manufacturing, MDF, chipboard and woodwool cement slabs. Wood of inferior
quality is excellent for packaging material. Gerutu may also be used for front
wall panelling and other outdoor applications above soil level.
