White-yellowish rims of 30-100 mm wide.

Knots:

Small and large knots may occur. Whether or not the part can be used must be assessed during production. Around the knots extensive slope of grain occurs, which may cause warping.

750 kg/m3 15% m/m

Grain:

May show strong cross-grains, but straight-grained wood is more prevalent

Fissure:

Internal fissure arises when dried too quickly


Warping:

Limited warping provided that the drying process is not too quick.

Large, healthy intergrown knots may occur. Determine if the purpose allows for knots.

Processing:
Processing possible only with HW (hard-metal) cutting tools. Rebates to be cut with chiselling blocks equipped with pre-cutters in order to prevent tear-out.

General applications:
