Ranging from light grey-pink to russet brown.

Grey-white

320 - 570 kg/m³ at 12% humidity

Grain:
More or less cross-grained, but can also occur with straight or undulating grain.

Knots:
In principle not allowed under Dekker Hout's quality standard.

Bio-substances:
Grey-blue discolouration occurs after contact with iron; light brown discolouration occurs after contact with brass.

  Mould and insects:
Sapwood is sensitive to termite invasion

Durability grade:
4 - low durability

Gluing:
Good 

Machining:
Easy to machine. Tools must be very sharp in order to ensure a properly smooth finish.

General applications:
Predominantly for peeled veneer and plywood manufacturing, and also for interior doors, interior wall panelling, yachts and front wall panelling.
