Machining:
Guariuba is medium suitable to suitable for
processing, both with hand tools and machines. Wood with cross-grain requires
hard-metal tools in order to achieve a smooth surface; it has a blunting effect
on tools due to the presence of gritty substances. Hard-metal cutting tools are recommended. Dry
Guariuba contains 0.2 - 1 % grit. It is easy to peel and cut after steaming at
65 °C
